Cuisine American
- 1 large head broccoli cut into small, bite-sized florets, about 4 cups
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves fresh garlic minced
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese plus extra for serving
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt adjust to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Red pepper flakes optional, for serving
Season the Broccoli
In a large mixing bowl, combine the dried broccoli florets, olive oil, minced garlic, garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss well with your hands or a spoon until every floret is evenly coated.
Air Fry the Broccoli
Arrange the seasoned broccoli in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd; work in batches if necessary.
Cook for 7–8 minutes at 375°F (190°C).
Shake the basket or flip the florets halfway through cooking.
Sprinkle the grated Parmesan evenly over the broccoli. Cook for an additional 2–3 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and the edges are crispy.
Notes
- Storage: Best eaten fresh. Leftovers can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 2–3 minutes to restore crispiness.
- Vegan Option: Substitute Parmesan with nutritional yeast or vegan cheese.
- Frozen Broccoli: Thaw completely and dry thoroughly before using. Expect slightly less crispiness.
- Serving Ideas: Pair with ranch dip and marinara sauce, or toss into pasta for a quick meal.
